Description
This Box is a fun and great looking model to build, not only is it just plan cool but it also has a secret opening in the base that acts as a hidden storage area. LazerModel are made from 100% Baltic Birch Plywood giving it a great rustic look, but if you want, you can paint it. We suggest using wood glue or regular white craft glue; do not use a glue gun, gorilla glue, epoxies, or instant glues. This model takes about 1-3 hours to build. All our LazerModels are Laser Cut in house and that allows us to proudly say “Made in the United States of America” Models do not come painted.

I bought one of these kits for Box 2.0 just this weekend at Harvest Festival. It took just an hour or so to assemble. I did a dry fit first to make sure all the pieces fit and that I had everything. I only had to do a smidgen of sanding on the first couple of tabs to get a perfect fit – which was way better than I expected! Given the high level of detail and the fact that wood can be very sensitive to temperature and humidity, I expected it to require a lot more finesse, but instead it went together like a very clever dream. I loved the smart little secret sliding door. I only wish I’d thought to put vellum in the windows before glueing it. And also if you wanted to light it, it would be trivial to wire an LED to a switch inside the secret compartment.

I recently bought and constructed the Tardis for my wife , who is a major Dr. Who fan. She loves it!!! I am not a Dr. Who fan, but it was very enjoyable putting the model together. Everything fit beautifully and the wood material is a pleasure to work with. I am now purchasing another Tardis for a friend who is also a major Dr. Who fan. I would love to paint these models , and wonder if you could suggest what type of paint to use and the color palette. Thanks again for this beautiful product!!!
